Reflection
Dizzy Daffodils made by Colleen using a beautiful daffodil fabric.
Colleen says "This quilt is the result of a "Reflection" class by Sharon Wilhite.
In the class, we took a large patterned fabric, cut it up, ironed it to a
grid, and sewed it back together. The process was fast
and fun. I chose a daffodil. Halfway through the process
it made me dizzy to try to figure out how this quilt would end up - hence the title.
The border is modern-day broderie perse, as in fused, not
hand appliqued, from the flowers in the fabric's
original form".

Reflection
Colleen did a great job.
I especially like the way she used extra flowers from the fabric
in the borders. It really brings out the best
in the fabric. Excellent job, Colleen!

Reflection
Made by Mary R. using a beautiful koi fabric
from TrendTex fabrics. Mary says that she put
about 150 crystals on the quilt to make it sparkle.
I especially like the trapunto koi trying
to swim over the inner border. Good job, Mary!

Close up of part of the geisha portion in the quilt.

Garden Reflection
Made by Millie using one of the lovely Geisha Group fabrics
in the Nobu Fujiyama collection by Kona Bay
for the center of the quilt. Choosing to keep the
geisha intact and simplifying the cornerstones and sashing
yielded excellent results.
